چکیده
Good quality, highly monodispersed capped copper metal nanoparticles have been synthesised in a non-hydrolytic approach using thermal decomposition of the Cu(II) precursor [Cu(OCH(Me)CH2NMe2)2] in a hot coordinating solvent without further reducing agents; the copper nanoparticles have been characterised by optical spectroscopy (UV/VIS), electron microscopy (TEM), electron diffraction (SAED), and dynamic light scattering (DLS).

Interfacial Cu/ZnO contact by selective photodeposition of copper onto the surface of small ZnO nanoparticles in non-aqueous colloidal solution.
Nanoscale copper was selectively photodeposited onto the surface of hexadecylamine (HDA) stabilized (monodispersed not agglomerated) ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) of a diameter of 2-5 nm, which leads to HDA-stabilized Cu/ZnO NPs of varied Cu loading. The particles are soluble in non-polar organic solvents. The line broadening and the red shift of the surface plasmon band of Cu/ZnO NPs relative to HDA...
متن کاملHighly stable and re-dispersible nano Cu hydrosols with sensitively size-dependent catalytic and antibacterial activities.
Highly stable monodispersed nano Cu hydrosols were facilely prepared by an aqueous chemical reduction method through selecting copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)2) as the copper precursor, poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) and ethanol amine (EA) as the complexing agents, and hydrazine hydrate as the reducing agent. The size of the obtained Cu colloidal nanoparticles was controlled from 0.96 to 26.26 nm by adjusti...
متن کاملUltrasonic Fabrication of Monodispersed Nano-Copper Oxide
A green environmental friendly process for preparing monodispersed cuprous oxide nanoparticles is reported. In this process, cuprous oxide is prepared using Cu(OH)42- as precursor and glucose as reducing agency in the presence of dispersant under ultrasonic radiation. Spherical, welldispersed Cu2O nanoparticles were obtained with the average size of 200 nm or 1.5 μm, respectively, with or witho...
متن کاملCu/ZnO aggregates in siliceous mesoporous matrices: Development of a new model methanol synthesis catalyst
Copper and zinc were introduced into mesoporous siliceous matrices with the goal of obtaining model methanol synthesis catalysts with intense interaction between copper and the ZnO promoter. The preparation methods included various aqueous routes starting from acetate solutions (into MCM-48) and a route involving an organometallic step—thermolysis of a liquid heterocubane of Zn4O4 type ([CH3ZnO...
متن کاملBiological Synthesis of Copper/copper Oxide Nanoparticles
Metal nanoparticles have gained significant interest in the past decade because of their unique physio-chemical properties which has a potential to be used in a wide range of applications. Recent efforts have gained success in synthesising nanoparticles with excellent shape and size control; however they are largely restricted to chemical methods. There is an increasing focus on eco-friendly ‘g...
